How to start a blog - Part 1

HOW TO WRITE A BLOG POST

                           (Beginner's Guide)

Well starting with the topic let's first know what a blog actually implies!
Blogs, or Web logs, are online journals that are updated often, sometimes even daily. An update, (also called an entry or a post) is usually quite short, possibly just a few sentences and readers can often react to an entry online. People who write blogs are commonly called Bloggers.
The simple formula to follow:
1.Understand your audience
Before you start a new blog, have a clear idea who your target audience are.
What does your audience want to know?
What will resonate with them?
Suppose, for example, you have you target audience of today's age group you probably don't need to provide them information about getting started in social media - most of them already have that down. You might, however, want to give them information about how to adjust their approach to social media from a casual, personal one to a more business-savvy.That kind of tweak is what separates you from blogging about generic stuff to the stuff your audience/readers actually wants to read.

2.Start with a topic and working title
It's for sure before you even start writing a blog you need to select a topic for your blog post. The topic can be pretty general to start with. For example, if you're a photographer, you might start out thinking you want to write about how your style of shooting pictures is different from others. Then you might come up with different working titles - in other words, different ways of approaching that topic to help you focus your writing.

3.Write an intro

First, grab the reader's attention. If you lose a reader in first few paragraphs, or even in first few sentences of the introduction, they will stop reading even before giving your blog a decent shake. For a catchy introduction start with something unique probably with some facts or the thing's they know but never knew their definition.
Then describe the purpose of the blog and explain how it will address a problem the reader may be having. This will give the reader a reason to keep reading and give them a connection to how it will help them improve their work/lives.

4.Organise your content

Sometime's the blog can have loads of content for the reader's as well as for writers. The trick/hack is to arrange the information so that reader get's in flow while continuing to read the post. The arrangement can take multiple forms like the list, tips, steps, whatever's most appropriate. But it must be arranged!
To complete this step, all you need to do is outline your post before writing. That way you know which points you need to cover and the best order in which to do it.

5.Write!

And the last step is to actually write your blog post, Now that you have outline of your post you are ready to fill in the blanks. Use your outline as a guide and be sure to expand on all of your points as needed.Write about what you already know, and if necessary, do additional research to gather more information
